S.L. Gahagan, 84, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, in Fort Worth. Service: 2 p.m. Monday in Greenacres Memorial Park Chapel in Cleburne. Burial: Greenacres Memorial Park. S.L. was a devout Christian who is resting in the arms of our Lord now. He lived through the depression on a chicken farm and later joined the Navy and was a gunnery Sergeant. He was known for his good aim as a sharp shooter and also in high school as a running-back. He was so good, that they dubbed him "Snake" as he slithered in and out of the players with the football.
In later years he married his beautiful wife Ruth who he is reunited with now and had 3 children. He lived a fruitful and content life, full of love and fully committed to his family. He will be dearly missed.
