Ryett Kane-Hekili VanCleave-Okamoto, born October 9, 2012, age 9, gained his angel wings on Friday, April 22, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones, after a yearlong battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Ryett touched many lives, he was a light and inspiration to our Nation over this past year. His infectious smile, his amazing giggle and a charm that touched many hearts will be forever missed. Ryett attended Nautilus Elementary School and will always be a Dolphin. He played soccer with his brother Liam before being diagnosed. Ryett loved being by & in any body of water, going to the beach, swimming, boating & jet skiing at the Lake. He even enjoyed going off roading on the SXS Razors. He loved having big themed birthday parties & dancing. Singing came in the picture & he would pour his heart & soul into the songs. He liked gaming on his electronics & going on TikTok. Ryett was always so Happy & enjoyed Life to the Fullest.
RYETT IS SURVIVED BY HIS PARENTS: Lia VanCleave and Jermey Okamoto and brother Liam Okamoto, of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Grandfather, John VanCleave, & (deceased grandmother) Sandi VanCleave. Uncle Cory VanCleave and cousin's, Finley and Keoni of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Grandparents, Kami & Donnie Hoffman, Auntie's Alexis & Faith Hoffman of Boonsboro, MD, & many many more Auntie's, Uncle's & Cousin's.
A Celebration of Life for Ryett and Sandi/NaNa will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the London Bridge Convention Center 1477 Queens Bay Lake Havasu City, AZ.
