Ruth Edine Tester
80, passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2019. She was born in California and graduated with a teaching degree from UCLA. She was a teacher at Nimitz and Solomon Elementary schools for a combined 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Murray A. Tester: daughters; Linda Tester and Lani Tester: sister; Elizabeth Pearse: cousin; Edna White: and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sharing her faith through music by playing piano and organ at several local churches. Services will be held at Oahu Mortuary, 2162 Nuuanu Ave. Honolulu, HI 96817. Visitation 10:30am; Service 11:30am on Friday, January 17th. A private inurnment ceremony to follow at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). In the spirit of Edine's giving nature, the family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Honolulu; Attn: Development Office 1310 Punahou St. Honolulu, HI 96826
