Ruth Neumeyer, 88, passed away January 16, 2022. She was born December 27, 1933 in Akron to the late Ernest and Floda McCurdy. With a heart full of love, Ruth made a mark in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Don; daughter, Lorrain Corney; brother, Robert McCurdy and sisters, Jean Pete, Doris Westfall, Joyce Milhoan and Linda Nelson. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Donald Neumeyer; sons, Gary (Rhonda) and Danny Neumeyer; daughter, Bonnie (Marty) List; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 12 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family is requesting the use of face coverings while at the funeral home. For those that would like to adhere to strict social distancing (ie. no hugs or handshakes) there will be stickers available to wear.
