Ruth Jeffs Hardman, born July 26th, 1939 in Heber City, Utah, passed away on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at home in Evergreen due to complications from Alzheimer's. Her husband of 64 years, Elwood, was beside her.
The Hardmans moved to Evergreen in 1974 and became owners of the D.P. Wilmot family home. Over the years they have restored and maintained the home, which has been named a Jefferson County Historic Landmark.
A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ruth was also an expert genealogist, an active member of the Mountain Genealogical Society and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Elwood; sons, Bryan and Jerry Hardman; daughter, Jill Perkins; nine grandchildren; and three (almost four) great-grandchildren, She is predeceased by two sons, Von and Jim Hardman; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hardman; and grandson, Tom Perkins.
Services in Ruth's honor will be held on Thursday, December 2nd at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7645 Malamute Dr., Evergreen, CO.
