Ruth Ann (McClatchey) Jennings went home to be with her Lord and Savior October 8, 2021. Ruth Ann was born in Ottawa County, Oklahoma on May 26, 1928 to Irl Lovel and Bessie Alma (Hill) McClatchey. She was raised in Oklahoma and Arizona, where she graduated from Gilbert High School. After graduation she attended ASU (Tempe Normal School) before marrying John Martin Jennings in 1949. They lived in various places around Arizona and Colorado, while growing their family of 3 sons and 1 daughter. They bought their farm in Arriola, Colorado in 1979, where they spent their time farming, gardening and making memories with their beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth Ann remained here until her death.
Surviving Ruth Ann are her children David Jennings (Karen) of Florence, AZ, Deborah Dillon (Scott) of Delta, CO, and Terry Jennings (Teresa) of Mancos, CO; 12 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Martin Jennings; her son John Richard Jennings; and her siblings Betty Lou Gilbert, John McClatchey, and Sue McClatchey.
Services will be held at The First Assembly of God, 120 S. Linden Street, Cortez, Colorado; October 29, 2021 at 2:00pm. Meal will follow service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators / Ron and Erin McClatchey Hesse or to Gideon International.
