Rusty Daniel Mongar, 49, of Cadillac, MI, passed away on February 8, 2024. Rusty was a loving man who cherished his family and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Rusty found great fulfillment as a volunteer firefighter, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to the role. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy throughout his life.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Robin Mongar, his son Robert Mongar, his grandsons Conner Mongar, Camden Geeting, and Owen Mongar, his daughter Brittanie Mongar, his grandsons Grayson Flescher and Jessica Flescher, his daughter-in-law, and his siblings Shelly Daniels, Carl Daniels, Sandra Woodworth, Mary Mongar, Gary Mongar, Risk Mongar, and Karen Flynn. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Rusty was preceded in death by his father Richard Mongar, his brothers Robert Mongar and Rocky Mongar, and his sister Sherry Mongar.
Rusty's passion for hunting and fishing brought him immense joy, allowing him to fully embrace the beauty of nature. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and his dedication to his family.
A celebration of Rusty's life will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Rusty can be made to the charity of your choice.
