Mr. Rusty Brown

Mr. Rusty Brown, 80, of Worth County, died on Friday, January 20, 2023, at his residence.

The memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jill Willingham will officiate.

Mr. Brown was born on December 9, 1942 in Albany, Georgia. He had lived in Worth County for the past fifty-years and was a horse Farrier. Mr. Brown was formerly employed with Firestone Tire Company in Albany where he worked for over twenty years. He enjoyed playing poker and working with his horses. Mr. Brown loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah "Sally" Brown of Worth County; sons, John McGeehan (Jennie) of Worth County and Robert McGeehan (Kelly) of Lake Park, a friend who was like his son, Ricky Headrick; grandchildren, Mason McGeehan, Cade McGeehan, Brandi Stodola, Jeremy Thompson and five great grandchildren; sister, Norma Way of Sylvester, a friend who was like his brother and his best friend, Dusty Rawlins; a special niece, Shelia Spring, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Josie Brown and a sister, Betty Hoover.
