As I remember in my older years, he was always welcoming and cheerful. In his suffering he never had complaints on his lips.
Russell Saulsbury, son of the late Richard and Sarah Saulsbury, was born on May 10, 1902, in Ridgely, Maryland.
He departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 1991.
Russell was educated in thePublic School System in Ridgely, Maryland. He came to Camden, New Jersey in 1920.
He joined Mt. Hope U.A.M.E. Church in 1975. He was a "Born Again" Christian. He was expecially noted for his home-made sausage and scrapple.
Russell spent most of his life as a gifted building contrator.
He was a very pleasant, even tempered person, who always helped anyone in need. His favorite words were "If you can't speak well of a person, don't speak at all."
Russell was married to Genevieve Tingle, September 29, 1984.
Russell left many pleasant memoried behind. He leaves a devoted wife, Genevieve; two daugters, Hilda Saulsbury and Helen Chappel; three sisters, Eddise Wyatt of Camden of Camden, N.J., Seretha Harris, Phila., Pa. and Olivia Davis of New York; five grandsons; three granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Hortense Warner and one brother-in-law, William Gould; a host of other relatives and many friends.
You are very important to God, He cares for you... He cares for you. We will miss your loving and caring ways and we will always remember and keep loving you.
But our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ loved you more.
