Russell Wayne Nunberg , 74 Nov 25, 1946 - Jan 21, 2021 Russell Wayne Nunberg , 74 Nov 25, 1946 - Jan 21, 2021 Russell Wayne Nunberg, 74, of Williamsport, Maryland died Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born November 25, 1946 to the late Casmir and Dorothy Nunberg.
He was a photographer of nature and equestrian events, as well as a musician enjoying bluegrass and folk music, playing the banjo and guitar himself. He enjoyed many pastimes including woodworking, drag racing, biking, boating, fishing, archery and astronomy. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and others who shared in his interests. He could make a friend anywhere, anytime.
Russell is survived by his son, Joesph Nunberg and his daughters, Amy Marshall (Tim), and Lisa Handwerk (Jeff) with whom he was recently and joyfully reunited, 3 brothers, Steven Nunberg, David Nunberg, and Sherman Nunberg, and 3 sisters, Melinda Hughes, Melissa Azzam, and Melanie George; & 5 grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, Sam, Noah, & Jonah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Nunberg and one brother, Casmir Nunberg, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Found Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Dean Pryor officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required upon entering the building. Those unable to attend are invited to join the service via Livestream at
