Taft - Ruie Slinger Carroll, 82, died June 28, 2018 after a stroke.
Ruie was a proud TCU Alumni. In her 40's, she obtained a Masters in Social Work from OLLU. She had a lifelong passion for South Texas' Hospice and the Home Health Industry for the elderly. Ruie was also active in the IORG which instilled her history in the Masonic family and Eastern Star membership.
Preceding and meeting Ruie are her partner, Johnnie Barker; daughter Rayne; and her parents John L. and Laura Lee.
She is loved and missed by children: Jayroy, Misty (Pete), and David (Jamie); grandchildren Brandy, Steven (Randi), Scott, Aubree, Brittany, Danny, Shanon, Rachelle, Camille and Shawn; great-grandchildren: Nora and Oliver; brother: Jack Jr. (Gloria); nieces and nephews: Adrian, Heather, Johnnie III and Thea (Ken); great-nephew: Gavin; and dozens of Wisconson cousins.
There will be no public services.
