Rudy Gonzales went to be with our Lord on 1/25/21. He was born on 6/19/61 to Roberto and Audelia Gonzales. He was a middle child of many siblings who loved him dearly. Rudy worked for the County of Ventura as a Public Works Maintenance Worker III for over 34 years, and was looking forward to retirement.
Anyone who knew Rudy's true nature would say he was a kind soul and had a heart of gold. He lived humbly but he gave so generously. He never forgot a birthday and always saved for Christmas. It would make him so happy to give. He had so much empathy. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need whether it was a stranger down on his luck or a stray animal looking for food. He could not stand to see anyone suffer. He loved his family. He kept all photos or momentos of special events. He was sentimental that way. He was a loyal friend, a caring brother, a dependable Uncle, and the most loving son. Rudy greeted everyone with that big smile. But when he didn't agree with another's point of view, he would not hold back. He made his friends and co-workers laugh with his off- handed remarks and humor, and he was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers, Laker's and Dodger's fan. Rudy would do anything for his mom and for his family. He will be missed immensely. The Lord took an angel from us; he surely needed him in heaven to carry on his giving ways. To all who knew him, thank you for your sincerity and friendship. We love you Rudy forever and always.
