Ruby Hoeldtke Wylie, 87, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Private interment will precede the service at the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
A daughter of the late William F. and Annie Streit Hoeldtke, Ruby was born on May 12, 1934, in Bowie, Texas. She and Felix Ray Wylie were married on December 18, 1970, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and were married 42 years prior to Felix's passing on July 22, 2013.
Ruby and Felix raised six children who survive her, Dianna Kunkel of Olney, TX; Debbie and Jim Collins of Wichita Falls, TX; Bud and Teresa Wylie of Schertz, TX; Tammie and Mike Little of Brashear, TX; Diana and Mike Kinsey of Allen, TX; and Susan and Lenny Walsh of Mustang, OK; 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; and many others that became family along the way.
Ruby was the rock and anchor to her large and busy family. She taught her children and grandchildren early on that all we have comes from the Good Lord and always reminded her family to pray, be thankful for our many blessings and love one another. You never left her home hungry or without a hug and a word of encouragement.
Ruby delighted in the holidays and decorated for each one of them. She spent years serving in her church and was a hospital volunteer. Youth were another passion, and she was always very supportive of their activities.
Ruby was the last surviving member of her large family. She was preceded in death by her four sisters and one brother.
