Ruby L. Gwinn, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021.
She was born July 18, 1933 in Green Sulphur Springs, West Virginia to the late George Porter and Blanche Rose Rice Meadows. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Fox, Pansy Meadows, Frankie Cales, and Margie Holland; and brothers, Basil, Earl, Carl, Charles, Jimmy, Jackie and Billy Meadows. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Franklin W. Gwinn, of Westerville, Ohio; daughter, Bonnie (Dennis) Beaver, of Westerville, Ohio; grandson, Kevin (Tiffany) Beaver, of New Albany, Ohio; and her two precious great-grandchildren, Addison and Ethan Beaver.
Ruby was a former member of Community Methodist Church while living in Circleville, Ohio and was a member of The Church of the Messiah in Westerville, Ohio. She worked at General Electric Lamp Plant in Circleville. She was a member of the Circleville Garden Club for many years and enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds.
She won many awards in the Circleville Pumpkin Show for her flower arranging. She also enjoyed antiquing and doing crafts. She owned and operated her own craft and home decor shop, The Country Woodbox, for many years.
Friends may call Monday, Aug. 23, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081 where service will follow at 2 p.m., interment at Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers:
