Roy L. Schneiderheinze, a devoted husband, father and avid fisherman of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022 after a short illness. Born in Manchester, NH the son of Margaretta (Ploss) and Eldred (Hank) Schneiderheinze, Roy attended Manchester West High School. In 1958 he married his wife Janet and raised their family in the house he built in Bedford. Roy served for over 30 years in the National Guard, first in the motor pool working on military vehicles and then in the kitchen preparing meals for the troops. While on active duty, Roy also worked for Sanders Associates as a precision mechanical inspector. After leaving Sanders, Roy enjoyed being a handyman, painting houses for people in the local area. Roy was a member of the Bedford community serving as a volunteer fireman for 23 years. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church as an elder and a past president of the Unity Club. Roy also belonged to the Masonic Fraternity, The Lafayette Bible Lodge #41 in Goffstown, NH. Roy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Clark Schneiderheinze, his oldest son Randy and his wife Theresa of Bedford, NH, his younger son JamieSchneiderheinze of Rochester, NH, his two sisters, Lois Theuner of Pembroke, NH, Ruth Thompson of Manchester, NH and several nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his parents and his two sisters, Etta French and Rita Pratte. Visiting hours are Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A private family service and burial will take place shortly after. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Roy's name.
