Roy H. LaFoy, Jr. of Clyde passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the age of 81.
Roy was born July 12, 1939 in Baird, Texas to Roy H. LaFoy, Sr. and Mary Thelma Paylor LaFoy. He served in the United States Air Force from August 1956 to August 1959, as an airplane mechanic. He married Emily Sue Taylor on April 3, 1963 in Fort Worth, and the couple had three daughters.
Roy worked as a truck driver, served as County Commissioner and was a member of the American Legion post 82.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue LaFoy, who passed away March 23, 2018; his parents; sisters Mary Jo King and husband Jim, and Georgie Manion.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Harden and husband, Ron, of Baird, Barbie LaFoy (and Rex the dog) of Clyde; and Jeri James and husband Paul of Clyde; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Troy LaFoy of Arlington; sisters Minnie Martin and husband Robert of Baird, and June LaFoy of San Angelo.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird. A private burial service will be held.
