Roy Otwell Baggett

BAGGETT - Roy Otwell Baggett, age 64 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. A Funeral/Celebration Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. Roy worked as an independent contractor, and enjoyed his volunteer work with Creative Enterprises. He especially enjoyed volunteering at Northside Gwinnett Auxiliary (formally Gwinnett Medical Center, Lawrenceville), where he was recognized for his many hours of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Rebecca (Otwell) Baggett. Roy is survived by his sisters, Jill (Rick) Jackson, Peggy (David) McCleskey, Judy Baggett, Jenny Baggett, and Becky (Howard) Torbett; brother, Jack Baggett, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Nate) Torbett-Loyd, David (Jennifer) Torbett; Dan (Beth) Torbett, Josh (Zulie) Torbett; Becca McCleskey, Erick (Emily) Jackson, Jack Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Mary (Caleb) Jackson-Eppling, and Ryan Jackson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM and from 12:00 until 1:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. 770.962.3100.
