Ms. RoseMary Terrazas Perez, 66, passed away at her home.
A private memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Services will be live streamed at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
Born in Las Cruces, NM, Ms. Perez was the daughter of Samuel Losoya and Esperanza Alire Terrazas of Las Cruces, NM. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Paul Dean Duncan; her sister, Bertha Alire Terrazas; and her nephew, Eddie Dominguez, Jr.
She was known as "the lil' fisher lady" to her local friends of Ocracoke Island, NC. She always thoroughly enjoyed teaching her love of the SaltLife and the peace and solace of fishing to her beloved grandsons, Tradd, Luke and Carter who lovingly called her their "Abbey". She loved that her boys couldn't pronounce the spanish word for grandmother when they were little and shortened it to "Abbey". She loved those boys like no one else and would brag on her "grandboys" to anyone who would listen to her stories of their schooling, their passion for sports, fishing and art. She was an incredible gardener with an amazing green thumb that could always bring back any plant and shrub that her well-intentioned daughters brought her to doctor back to health. She gave selflessly to the many stray cats and dogs that wandered onto her property. Her gift of the gab allowed her to live to "never meet a stranger". She loved her family and friends with her whole heart and we will miss or Mum, our Abbey, our beloved RoseMary forever...until we are reunited with her again.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Perez is survived by her daughters, Melissa Perez Beauchamp and her husband, Jeffrey Scott of Fort Mill, SC and Denise Terrazas Perez of Rock Hill, SC; three grandsons, Tradd Austin, Luke Alexander and Carter Allen Beauchamp; two sisters, Genevieve (Antonio) Meraz and Alice Dominguez, both of Las Cruces, NM; her brother, Samuel Losoya (Socorro) Terrazas Jr. of Las Cruces, NM; many beloved nephews and nieces in Las Cruces, NM; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3-4:30pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ms. Perez's name to the Humane Society of Cherokee County, PO Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342.
