Rosemary Joan Dempsey Lane passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021. She was born May 15, 1937 in Oakland, CA to Constance MacCallum Dempsey and Paul Dempsey. After Paul's death in 1947, Constance and her six children moved to Everett, WA. Rosemary attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, graduated from Everett High Class of 1954, and received a B.S. in Medical Technology from Gonzaga University in 1958. Rosemary and Dwayne Lane were married July 19, 1958 and raised five children.
Rosemary was a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Parish family and served her church in many roles throughout her life. She was well known as an Everett civic leader serving on the Board of Directors of Snohomish County Boys & Girls Clubs for 17 years, serving as the first female president for one term. In addition, she was a supporter of Providence Hospital, Camp Fire, Lions Club, YMCA, and Everett High Blue & Gold Club.
Rosemary particularly enjoyed her weekly breakfast group at Sisters restaurant, monthly Marysville Y Group ladies' get-togethers, and meetings and gatherings with her Everett Women's Book Club members. Family and friends enjoyed many Mission Beach gatherings, especially the 4th of July celebration with Overstreets.
Rosemary leaves behind her five children: Monica Lane (Robert), Colleen Frauenholtz (Brian), Mary Kay Roche (Bill), Peter (Tracie), and Thomas (Kjersti). She is also survived by siblings Connie (Alan), Susan (Fred), Paul (Dot), and Lyn (Doug). She was thrilled to watch her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne, her parents, and her brother Charles.
