Rosemary Garza, of Groveton, Texas, formerly of North Pole, Alaska and Palestine, Texas was born on January 16, 1944, to Lee Roy Thompson and Winnie Faye (Thomasson) Thompson in Palestine, Texas and passed away peacefully to her eternal home in heaven on December 23, 2021, at the age of 77 years surrounded by her family. Rosemary grew up in Montalba, Texas and attended elementary school there. She completed her education in Palestine High School and later met and married her husband, Rudy Garza. Rosemary loved to work performing missionary work for the Lord and she retired after her twenty-year tenure with a Christian radio station, KJNP at North Pole, Alaska. While Rosemary resided in North Pole, Alaska, she belonged as a member to First Baptist Church North Pole where she shared her love of Christ with her fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved spending time with her family especially her nieces, nephew and great-nieces and nephews. Rosemary is survived by her sister, Victoria Thompson (AKA: Ruby Nell) of Groveton, Texas; three nieces: Cathy Czajkowski of Groveton, Texas, Elaine Gerren and husband, Kenny of Breemond, Texas, and Laura Ecker of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephew, Mark Wayne McCool of Oxford, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Edmond McCool of Groveton, Texas; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives, and friends also survive. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Garza; parents: Lee Roy and Winnie Faye Thompson; brother, Henry Dale Thompson; and sister, Lucille Thompson.
