Rosella E. Rogge, age 84, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Avantara-Huron.
Her visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 30th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Family will not be present due to COVID-19 precautions.
Graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31st, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Rosella E. Rogge was born March 10, 1936, to Calvin and Julia (Adolph) Howey at Goodwin, South Dakota, the eighth of eleven children. Rosella graduated Watertown High School in 1954. She worked at Rozum Ford from graduation until shortly after marrying Willard Rogge on June 2, 1957.
Rosella enjoyed crafts, especially tatting, quilting, and jigsaw puzzles. Over the years, she won numerous ribbons at the South Dakota State Fair for her tatting, quilting and gardening. She dearly loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Terry and Larry Blase, and Colleen and Joe Belak; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Raastad; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; five brothers, Calvin Howey, Jr., John Howey, Walter Howey, Morton Howey, and Robert Howey; and four sisters, Margaret Lauseng, Ruby Palo, Phyllis Schamens, and Bonnie Roso.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Building Fund at Hope Lutheran Church, 1667 Frank Ave S.E., Huron, SD 57350.
