Rose Marie (Nicpon) Weibel, 77, of Easthampton, passed away March 27, 2021, with her family by her side at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston, MA.
Rose was born on August 10, 1943 in Northampton, MA to the late Francis and Evelyn (Pelky) Nicpon. She attended Easthampton High School and graduated from EHS Class of 1961. Rose met the love of her life, Charles R. Weibel, at the movies in 1959. Four years later they married on June 1, 1963 and had two daughters. They made Easthampton their home for the past 48 years.
Rose dedicated over 20 years as the Administrative Assistant for the former Hampshire Long Term Care Facility in Leeds, MA before retiring in 2007. Rose was a perfectionist and everything she did was done with attention and care to every detail.
Rose was happiest when she was with her family, routing for the Red Sox, or spending time in her gazebo. On any given day Rose and Charlie could be found having breakfast at Friendly's, in Holyoke.
Rose was a dedicated mother and she treasured her children. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She would do anything for anyone and was always just a call away. She lived by an open door policy and you were always welcome. She always made certain your belly was full and would go out of her way to make sure she had what you wanted.
Rose will forever be in the hearts of her loving family including her husband Charles. She also leaves her daughter, Brenda Hamel and her husband, Michael. Rose also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn Daysh, Sarah Daysh, and Delaney Hamel. She also leaves behind her sister Marilyn Gawle and her husband Paul, her sister Susan Koldis and her husband William, many nieces and nephews as well as her dear friends at Friendlys in Holyoke who will miss her very much. Rose was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Terry (Weibel) Brown in 2020, and her eldest sister Elaine (Nicpon) Marieb.
