Rose Irene Sprankle , 84 Mar 7, 1937 - Apr 18, 2021 Rose Irene Sprankle, 84, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the University of Maryland Hospital accompanied by her family.
Born Sunday, March 7, 1937 in Big Pool, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Head and the late Edith (Mills) Head.
She was a graduated from Hagerstown High School, class of 1955.
Rose retired from Roadway and later went on to work at JCPenny.
She was a member of the sorority Phi Beta Kappa.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick Sprankle, Fayetteville, PA and Jon Sprankle, of Hagerstown, MD; four grandsons, Corry Sprankle, Dyllan Sprankle, Harley Sprankle, and Reggie Cosens, III; two granddaughters, Baylee Sprankle and Tessa Cosens; a great grandchild on the way; 4 sisters; 1 brother; and 5 furry grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Donnie" Sprankle and one brother.
Services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 10:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, April 28, 2021, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
