Rose Engel Patton of Mineral Wells, Texas passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born July 7, 1941, the daughter of Benno and Elizabeth Klier Engel of Luckenbach, Texas. She is survived by her son, Randall Patton (Adrienne); grandson, Dustin Patton (Heather); granddaughters, Kandi Patton and Aurora Patton. She is also survived by her siblings, Della Pohler, Jo Nell Lamothe (Richard) and Benno Engel (Jan), four nephews and two nieces.
She is preceded by her parents; son, Russell Patton; brothers, John and James Engel; brother-in-law, Milton Pohler, and great-niece, Kelsey Pohler.
Rose was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg, Texas. She attended Luckenbach Elementary and graduated from Fredericksburg High School. After attending Texas Lutheran College, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone. After moving to Mineral Wells, she worked for Mineral Wells High School and later retired from CanTex in Fort Worth.
Rose was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling to state and national tournaments. She also enjoyed trips to Scotland, London, Paris, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Mineral Wells.
