Rose Marie Monago, age 81, of Jackson Twp., passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Akron, on November 17, 1941, daughter of the late Rudie and Rosemary (Bernert) Pozonitz.
Rose Marie retired from Fedorko Chiropractic and currently was director of accounting with The Goddard Schools of Akron and Jackson Twp.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon. She enjoyed meeting monthly with her high school friends for breakfast.
Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frank Monago; son, Frank (Natalie) Monago Jr.; daughters, Laura (Timothy) Wolfe, Elizabeth (Paul) Engelhardt, and Karen (Martin) Marinos; brother, Michael (Rosie) Pozonitz; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rudie Pozonitz.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Heitger Funeral Home - JACKSON CHAPEL, from 5 to 7 P.M.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Special Olympics Ohio, 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, Ohio 43232.
