SOUTH BEND- Rose A. Holle, 83, of South Bend, died Wednesday July 14, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Osceola. Rose was born September 6, 1937, in DePue, Illinois to Joseph and Petra (Vasquez) Cruz. She graduated from DePue High School and later moved to Chicago, Illinois. She married Richard L. Holle, and they relocated to South Bend, Indiana.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Jesse Cruz, Trinidad (Tina) Cruz, and Manuel (Inga) Cruz, her sister, Refugia (Ray) Gusman and her nephew and niece, Kerry Michael Cruz, and Sara (David) Holman.
Surviving are 3 children, Julia (Ernie) Holle of Osceola, Richard L. (Sue) Holle, Jr., of Mishawaka, and Jovita M. Holle of Edwardsburg; 3 grandchildren, Kamilah (Seth) Tripplett of Mishawaka, Scott H. (Destiny) Dallmann of Osceola, and Nikito Holle of Edwardsburg; 2 great-grandchildren Kailynn Dallman and Aiden Dallman. Also, surviving are 2 siblings: Ignatius (Shirley) Cruz of Spring Valley, IL, and Lupe (Dean) Lewis of Peru, IL; 5 nephews: Dave Cruz, Joe Cruz, Rick Cruz, Steve Cruz, and John Ray Gusman; and a niece Anne Fauth, and their families along with many cousins and their families.
Rose enjoyed dancing, cooking and being a grandma. She dearly loved her dogs. Rose worked as a warehouse attendant at Service Merchandise and Kay's Merchandise both in Mishawaka.
She will be returned to Illinois to be buried with family at a later date.
