Rose T. (Iuteri) Ferreira, 75, of Meriden, peacefully entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the CT Hospice in Branford. Rose was born in New Haven, November 16, 1946, a daughter of the late John Iuteri and Helen (Passariello) Iuteri and had been a Meriden resident for many years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Meriden. She loved her church and considered Deacon George Frederick and his wife Sandy family. Rose was also affiliated with the Franciscan Life Center and owes a debt of gratitude to Sister Sophia who changed her life for the better. She is survived by her two devoted children Lea Ferreira and her husband Steve Ruel of Meriden and Michael Ferreira and his wife Cindy of Berlin; five grandchildren Greyson Ferreira, Matthew Ruel, Alexandra Murphy, William "Billy" Murphy (wife Nervaliz "Liz" Murphy) and Nathan Murphy; three great grandchildren Noah, William Jr. and Jace Murphy; her loving sister Joanne Ludwig and her husband, Steve of East Haven; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony John "Tony" Iuteri; and her sister Margaret "Dee Dee" York and her husband Jerry "New York" Kravitsky; and her former husband, John M. Ferreira, III.
Rose was a magnificent mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her beautiful smile and loving heart. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family especially, as she called them, her "wonderful kids". She also had a soft spot in her heart for animals and deeply loved her grand fur baby, Mario Matteo Ruel, who passed shortly before her in order to greet her in Heaven.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Friday, July 1, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, from the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m., when the funeral procession will proceed to Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church), where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405 or Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish (Our Lady of Mt.
