Rose Mary Crippen, 89, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:57 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Crippen was born February 27, 1931, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Charles and Pearl Denson Denny.
She married Perry G. Crippen July 1, 1946.
Rose Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was formerly employed at C.P. Electronics and Hills Department Store.
She enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 74 years; daughters, Carolyn (David) Lohr and Diane Arnett (Ivan Smith) both of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Denney of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Lee Crippen; brothers, Ralph Denny and Charles Lee Denny; and her sisters, Mae Caffee, Grace Malson, Helen McGuire, Shirley Compton and Catherine Goessens.
A private graveside service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Adam Carrigan officiating.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
