The world lost a beautiful spirit on January 23, 2022. Rosalinda Sandoval, 72, passed away peacefully with her children by her side. Rosie was a fun spirited woman who was always up for a good laugh and a good time. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for all her friends who were like family to her. Rosie loved to cook and make jewelry. These two forms of art were her keys to expressing her love for those around her. Rosie was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed being outdoors and always had time to stop and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
In the workplace, Rosie prided herself on being a dedicated, conscientious employee. One of the best times of her career was serving as a dispatcher for Williamsburg Transport. There, she was excited by the challenges presented each day where she flourished as she figured out one logistical challenge after another and kept things running smoothly throughout the large operation. Throughout the years, her coworkers quickly became like family to her and she developed many lifelong friendships.
Rosie is survived by her children, Stephanie (Rob) and Davin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Thomas, Elizabeth, Nathan, Shiloh, Maddie, and Jesse, her brother Anthony and sister Anamaria as well as her adored nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Angelina Sandoval and her lifelong friend Pam Moya.
A celebration of life will be held later this year.
