Rosalind Napier Fuller, 80, died of lung cancer June 1, 2024 at her home in Wilmington, NC surrounded by her family and friends.
Rosalind was born in Macon, GA to Martha Birdsey Napier and Joseph Hamilton Napier. She attended public school in Bibb County, GA and graduated from Chatham Hall. She attended Sophia Newcomb College of Tulane University and graduated from the University of Georgia with AB and MA degrees in English.
Rosalind taught and volunteered in public schools and served her community as a Guardian ad Litem and as an active member of the Wilmington Colonial Dames. She also shared her artistic talents through her complicated knitting and beautiful needlepoint creations.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her aunt and uncle, Sandford Birdsey and Buford Birdsey. She is survived by her husband, William Bryan Fuller, Sr., her son, William Bryan Fuller, Jr. (Lee Ann), her son Napier Sandford Fuller (Sue Anne), and her grandchildren Xavier Napier Fuller, Madeline Anne Sandford Fuller, Magnus Salvador Fuller, and Cyril Birdsey Fuller.
She will be buried in a private ceremony at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington NC, in the Sandford family plot.
