Rosalie Ann (Wier) Stadtler, age 75, passed away away on May 15, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born to Lloyd and Amanda (Brennegan) Wier in Galesville, WI, on May 19, 1946. She was one of 12 children, three of which were her brothers, Armond (Kay) Wier, Leon (Eileen) Wier, and Leland (LaVonne) Wier. Her sisters are Janet (Bernard) Las, Sondra (Bill) Brust, Terry (Irvin) Thompson, Mary (Dave) Tjerstad, Marie (Bob) Thill, Karmen (Keith) Everson, Rosanna (Bill) Larson, and Fran (Roger) Instenes.
Their parents instilled a strong belief and sense of the Lutheran faith to all their children. Therefore, Rosalie was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Galesville and went on to be married there on May 5, 1965, to Charles Perkins, Jr.,and they welcomed son, Jon and daughter, Amanda (Bill) Erickson. Upon their divorce, Rosalie moved to Arcadia, WI. She married Wilmer Kube and welcomed son Darren (Carrie) Kube and daughter, Valarie (Zach) Holkesvik. Upon Wilmer's death in 1988, she moved to Spring Grove, MN. There, she fell in love with LeRoy Stadtler. They were married February 14, 1998, and she welcomed LeRoy's children, Julie (Mark) Mahr, Mike Stadtler (special friend Cheryl). They eventually moved to Caledonia, MN, to enjoy country life, which they did immensely.
Rosalie held her friends and family close to her heart, but her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren were most precious to her. She had a kind word and smile for everyone. Some of her favorite pastimes included spending time in her yard planting flowers, going for walks, cuddling her cats, going to rummage sales, and most of all, dancing. Unfortunately, she didn't get to do much of the latter due to the pandemic.
However, she didn't slow down until she was diagnosed with cancer late in January this year and had surgery. Her illness was brief and swift.
Rosalie was preceded in death by parents; brother Armond and wife Kay; sister Karmen and husband Keith; and brothers in law, Irvin Thompson, Dave Tjerstad, Bill Larson and Junior Stadtler.
