Rosalie Rita Wilson Snider 92 of Zanesville Ohio was peacefully received into the arms of God on a beautiful Easter day, April 9, 2023. She died at 11:58 AM, at Primrose retirement center. She was born on July 28, 1930 in Perry County, Ohio to the late Leo and Minnie Ricketts Wilson. She married the love of her life Donald J Snider on June 16, 1951. They were blessed with 71 years of marriage and gifted with eight children. She was a former member of Saint Rose Catholic Church and a current member of Saint Nicholas Catholic church. She volunteered at Good Samaritan Medical Center for many years, and made several special friends. Rosie had many jobs in life. She was a sales clerk, bookkeeper, and retired after 25 years as secretary of the New Lexington cemetery. Rosie was a very faith filled Christian and an amazing role model. She was known for her talented cooking, baking and noodle making skills. The job she took the most pride and joy in was raising her eight children. Rosie is survived by sons, Dan (Charlotte) Snider of Zanesville, Tom"Leo" (Jan) Snider, Robert "Bert" (Teri ) Snider, and William "Chuck"(Lisa ) Snider all of new Lexington ; Daughters Bonnie Heavener of Zanesville, Connie, (Mark) Still of Nashport, Lisa, (Jim) Theisen of Thornville and Dawn, (Chuck) Holman of New Lexington. Sisters, Thelma Hitchens and Madaline Martindale of Newark, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and spouse, Donald who passed away February 18th of this year she was preceded in death by four siblings, one granddaughter, Jena Snider, and two son-in-law's, Ralph Heavener and Jeff Steed. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday April 12th with Christian Vigil at 8:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home and one hour prior to Mass at the church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday April 13th at St. Rose Catholic Church, 309 North Main St. New Lexington with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, Zanesville Saint Rose Catholic Church, in New, Lexington or Genesis Hospice. A very special thank you to her guardian angels Jane, Jessica, and Lynn, all the staff at Primrose and Genesis Hospice staff. We are forever grateful.
