The matriarch of our family loved by all who knew her. You started a generation of strong, seemingly impenetrable women but you weren’t impenetrable you were soft and tender and wise as are the women in your family. For many years this illness lowered your flame but never put it out.
The memories of you and your voice will always be in our hearts. We struggle to find the right words as we try to be strong for each other.
You are survived by your loving husband, two sons, and daughter, your grand-children, and great-grandchildren. Thank you for giving us all of the years that you had to give.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Rosalia Melendez's name to the Dementia Society of America.
