Rosa Jane Merritt, 83, of Charleston, WV passed away on March 2, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas P., her son, Thomas L., and daughter-in-law Valerie Merritt. Also preceding Jane are her parents: Mary Ellen and Kerney Fizer; brothers: David, Dan, and Roger; as well as a sister, Mary Sue.
She was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education.
Jane is survived by her children: son, Rob and daughter: Angela (Jason) Truman; grandchildren: Brandon (Jennifer) and Brittany Merritt, and Hunter and Carlee Truman; one great grandson: Miles Merritt; brothers: Buster (Zettia), Jerry and Joe (Debbi) Fizer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her amazing care team at Teays Valley Center for her wonderful treatment while there.
A joint Celebration of Life for Jane and Thomas will be held later this summer.
