Rosa Lee Holland Corbett, age 105, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Hocutt Baptist Church in Clayton, of which she was a long time member, with Reverend Dr. Steve Roy officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 Pm until 2:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the church prior to the service.
She was born May 19, 1916 in Johnston County to the late John Henry Holland and the late Rebecca Evans Holland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Randolph Corbett; two sisters, Alma and Ruth, and two brothers, Pat and Nathan.
She enjoyed gardening, needlework, taking trips with her church family and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Corbett is survived by her daughter, Judy Jones of Wilson; two grandchildren, Kevin Poythress (Susanne), Kimberly Poythress Strother; six great grandchildren, Walt Parker (Brittany), Hunter Parker, and William Parker (Kennedy), Bailey, Taylor and Austin Poythress; one great-great granddaughter Kinsley Savannah Parker; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Wilson, and her caregiver, Gale Thorne.
