Rosa Linda Juarez-Gomez, 79, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible passages, Proverbs 31. Rosa Linda exemplified the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was an excellent wife. She would speak with wisdom and teach others to be loving and kind. She extended her hand to the poor and the needy. She was strong and honorable. She displayed the virtues of a Christian woman who practiced biblical values consistently and encouraged her children and grandchildren to follow Christ. She was truly respected, honored, and cherished.
Rosa Linda is survived by her loving husband, Pedro Gomez, her daughters, Anna De Leon-Luna (Frank Luna) and Sylvia Annette De Leon, her sons, Carlos Jaime De Leon and Antonio Juarez, Jr., her siblings, Noemi Conrad, Bertha Burton, Leonor Cantu, and Elizabeth Conley (San Jose, California) and her beloved grandchildren, Katie De Leon, Christian De Leon, and Matthew De Leon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Julia Villarreal and her siblings, Lauro Villarreal, Roberto Villarreal, Lydia Luna, and Benjamin Villarreal Jr.
Visitation will be held today, Monday April 12, 2021 from 4pm to 9pm at De Leon Funeral Home of Pharr, with a Celebration of Life at 7pm officiated by Pastor Emily Mendez. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2pm officiated by Pastor Joana Walker. Interment will follow at 3pm at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Pallbearers will be Roberto (Bobby) Carrillo, Juan Carlos (Johnny) Carrillo, Lauro De Leon, Javier De Leon, Isaiah De Leon, and Brendan Hall III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Antonio Juarez Jr. and Frank Luna.
