Rosa de Lourdes Gracia-Uribe, 77, of Groves, died Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1943, in Ciudad del Carmen, Campehe, Mexico, to Maria De la Luz Barrera Mayorga and Alfonzo Uribe Ancona.
Rosa was an amazing mother and wife, who started her life as a legal secretary in Mexico and became a seamstress in Brownsville for many years until her retirement. She started her own business as a restaurant owner for over fifteen years, in amazing typical Mexican food "Los Taquitos" was where we met many friends. Through her restaurant she was able to teach her children and grandchild their beautifully rich culture.
Survivors include her sons, Miguel Angel Urie and his wife, Silvia, of Brownsville; and Ricardo Gracia, Jr. of San Antonio; daughters, Martha Patricia Gracia of Groves; Mirna del Carmen Gracia of George West; Claudia Marisela Pe?a of Groves; and Juana Elizabeth Alvarez and her husband, Jesus, of Port Arthur; nineteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Alfonzo Uribe; sisters, Carmen Cruz; and Maria Elena Aguirre and her husband, Alberto; brother-in-law, Jose Reyes Salinas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends that she loved very much and had great memories of.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty years, Ricardo Gracia Gracia; sisters, Romana Salinas and Marbella Munoz.
A gathering of Mrs. Gracia-Uribe's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, with her Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
