Ronnie Graham Dunnigan May 10, 1943 - April 17, 2023 Lexington, Kentucky - Ronnie Graham Dunnigan, 79, of Lexington, KY passed away on April 17, 2023 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Ronnie was born on May 10, 1943 to Arley R. Dunnigan and Sarah Staton Dunnigan of Ashland, KY. After graduating from Ashland High School in 1961, Ronnie graduated from the University of Kentucky and earned his law degree from UK Law School. Ronnie enjoyed a 40+ year career in the legal profession serving as the Boyd Co. Assistant Commonwealth Attorney; Partner of Johnson, Dunnigan and Martin Law Firm; General Counsel for Addington Mining Company; and President of Kindall Mining Company. Ronnie was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, served as the Past President of the Boyd Co. Bar Association and was a Member and Trustee of the Ashland Elks Club. Ronnie is survived by his wife Rebecca Hall Dunnigan, children Ronnie (Amy) Dunnigan and Beth (David) Parks; grandchildren Dillon (Kaley) Dunnigan, Liam Dunnigan, Graham Parks and Walker Parks; brother Rudy (Charlotte) Dunnigan and sister Bonnie (Shank) Harmon. Ronnie is preceded in death by his brother Don (Sandy) Toy. Ronnie will be remembered at a private family graveside service at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, KY on April 28" at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at Centenary Methodist Church in Lexington, KY on April 29". Visitation will begin at 1:00pm with a service at 2:00pm. Donations in Ronnie's memory may be made to Centenary Methodist Church or to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
