Ronald "Gene" Treanor, 84, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at I.U. Health Hospital, Bloomington. He was the foster child of Herb and Ada Underwood.
Gene married Elizabeth "Sue" LeRoy on Nov. 7, 1955 and she survives.
Gene was a presser at various dry-cleaning businesses, a member of Gullett's Creek Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge of Blooomington, and a past member of Lawrence County Archery Club. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing and bowling.
Surviving to cherish Gene's memory are his wife, Sue of Bedford; one son, Danny Treanor; six grandchildren, Donna Treanor, Revah "Annie" Milroy, Tiffany Treanor, Heather Treanor, Benjamin Treanor and Logan Treanor; three great grandchildren, Danny, Casen and Rachel.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Donald Treanor and Kenny Treanor.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15th at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel, Bedford. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. The family requests that masks be worn.
Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes have been entrusted with arrangements.
