Ronald H. Timm lost his long battle with diabetes on Wednesday, December 15th, while under the care of Hospice in the Berkshires. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on July 22, 1935. Growing up and attending school in Westchester County, Mt. Kisco N.Y. After graduating from Katonah High School in 1953 Ronald joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1957.
In 1958 he married his wife Judith and moved to Greenwich, CT. Soon after he joined the Greenwich Police Department and retired as a Detective. This gave him the opportunity to be involved in a number of high profile investigations.
Upon retiring in 1981 they moved to Sheffield, MA and opened Centuryhurst Antiques and Bed & Breakfast. Both the Antiques and the B&B provided our retirement with some very interesting times.
Traveling for the antiques and of course learning all the knowledge that comes along with the business, which Ronald was in charge of for 27 years. In his next retirement his interest turned to collector car shows, until his health would not allow him to continue.
Ronald is survived by his wife Judith, son Roderick K. Timm (Meg), grandsons, Ryan R. Timm, Joel A. Timm (Ashley), granddaughter, Marcie H. Timm and great grandson, Levon Kenneth Timm. He was predeceased by his sons Kenneth and Wayne. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
