Ronald H. Stouffer, 88, of Lee Center, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at University Hospital in Syracuse. Born in New Cumberland, PA, on December 24, 1932, he was a son of the late Earl and Gertrude (Dysinger) Stouffer. He was a graduate of New Cumberland High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1953-79. On March 26, 1955, he was united in marriage to Catherine Horton, a blessed union of 66 years.
After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force at Griffiss Air Force Base, Ron spent over 20 years with the United States Postal Service.
He was a long-time member of the Lee American Legion 1794 and the Lee Unity Seniors where he unofficially served as 'tour director.' Ron was an avid reader and loved to putter around the house.
Surviving besides his loving wife, Catherine, are three sons, Ronald Stouffer, Jr. (Barbara), Mark Stouffer (Christiana) and Kurt Stouffer (Sherry); nine beloved grandchildren, Laura (Johnny), Paul, Sarah, Jacob, Benjamin, Melissa (Zachary), Daniel, Zachary (Kirstie) and Lydia (Bill); three precious great-grandchildren, Claire, Rya and Easton, daughter-in-law Cathy Stouffer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Earlene Stouffer.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors.
