Ronald "Ron" Oneal Nugent

Ronald Oneal Nugent, 72, of Crossville, Tennessee, and formerly of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on September 18, 2023, at Standing Stone Nursing Home in Monterey, Tennessee.

Ronald was an over-the-road truck driver and drove for several different trucking companies over his 37-year career. He logged several million miles in 48 states as well as much of Canada. Ronald enjoyed driving a truck and was proud of his good safety record.

Ronald developed a love of airplanes and flying at a young age. One of his first jobs as a teenager was washing and fueling planes at the local airport, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He worked hard and took flying lessons when he could, eventually getting his license. He hadn't flown much in recent years, but still loved talking about planes and going to airshows.

Ronald had friends scattered all over the country, with many in Tennessee and Kentucky. He loved his many friends and his neighbors.

Ronald was born on June 30, 1951, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Ancle and Trilba May (Morgan) Nugent. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Ronald is survived by several cousins and many friends.

Cremation was chosen, and there will be a private graveside service at Riverside Christian Church Cemetery, in Warren County, Kentucky, where he will be buried beside his parents.
