Ronald O'Neal Lee was born September 6, 1971, and made his transition on October 4, 2021, at the age of 50. A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Peace Temple Church of God in Christ 102 Andrew Street Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of service at church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
During his life, Ronald loved work that involved the use of his hands. This included making his drawings come to life to working his early teenage years with his Uncle Sam on construction projects. This later lead to Ronald finding employment laying concrete to helping build and refurbish homes and buildings in the area. He also worked in the field of fixing and reconstructing roofs. Things took a turn for Ronald during his later teen years. His close-knit family and siblings collectively encouraged him shine and put his best foot forward.
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memories: two daughters: Nikita Sasha Lee and Tiara Michelle Lee-Deuel, his mother: Mai Vera Brooks, siblings Patricia Drake of Dowagiac, Michigan, Gregory (Tammy) Lee of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Dyer (Feisal) Salahadyn of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Vernard (Aaron) Hunter of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lincoln Lee of Dowagiac, Michigan, Calvin (Ruth) Lee of Joliet, Illinois, Arqullia (Willie) Lewis of Dowagiac, Michigan, Leola (James) Boatright of St. Louis, Missouri, Leo (Brandi) Brooks of Three Rivers, Michigan, Joshua (Tiffany) Brooks, Mai Vera (Michael) Brooks, Jeremiah Brooks all of Dowagiac, Michigan, five grandchildren: Arsenio Jordan, Samere Lee, Tilaysia Lee, Brian James, and Cordero James, an honorable and lifelong brother: Kirby Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Preceding him in death: Grandparents, both maternal and foster, two fathers: Willie Thomas Lee, Sr and Leo Brooks, Sr, one brother: Willie Thomas Lee, Jr, one sister: Rebecca Lee, one brother-in-law: John Lee Drake, Sr, and several uncles, aunts, and other family members.
You went away so suddenly
We did not say goodbye
But brothers can never be parted
