Ronald Dixon Harpe, age 89, of Americus, passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Magnolia Manor. He was born February 15, 1932 to the late Clyde Harpe and Louise Gay Jenkins. Mr. Harpe was an Air Force veteran and then went onto work with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
Survivors include his wife, Jettie Sue Harpe of Bronwood; a son, Gary Harpe of Kingsman, AZ.; a daughter, Mitzi Wittman of Meshoppen, PA.; one sister, Laverne White of Camilla; six grandchildren, Stephanie Singer, Brittany Harpe, Cheslie Harpe, Tyler Harpe, Tanner Harpe, Rusty Harpe; and three great-grandchildren, Brooks & Cason Singer, Wesson Harpe, and Kimber Harpe.
Mr. Harpe was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Whatley Harpe; his brother, Ronald Glenn Harpe; and two sisters, Gina Louise Harpe and Shirley Avila.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the League of Good Samaritan 2001 S. Lee St. Americus, GA. 31709 and Bronwood United Methodist Church 121 S. Geise St. Bronwood, GA. 39826.
