Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home
Ronald J. Gulka, 90, of Massillon, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1933, in Akron to the late John and Constance Gulka. Ron was a graduate of Buchtel High School. Following graduation, he served two years in the U.S. Army stateside. He enjoyed working for Swenson's, owned 2 Country Kitchens, and worked in construction. He retired from Continental General Tire after 38 years of service. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed golf, was an avid sports enthusiast, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved his kitty cats, Duke and Spike. Ron will be remembered for his great sense of humor and wit; he was one-of-a-kind! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg and brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Linda Davis; son, Jeff Gulka; Stepchildren Chris Davis and Nikki Davis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Legends Care Center for their kind and compassionate care as well as Harmony Care Hospice. Calling hours will be held at the Chapel in Green on Raber Road on Tuesday, November 7 from 4 - 6 with a service following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Stark County Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton, OH 330-452-4041.
