Ronald J. Cunningham, age 87 formerly of Lynn Massachusetts, passed away on February 13, 2023. He was the husband and loving partner to the late Pauline (Cooper) Cunningham who passed in 1998, the son of the late George Cunningham and Laura (Matheson) Cunningham, the brother of the late Donald Cunningham and sister Judith (Cunningham) Patuto.
Ron spent 39 years as a loyal employee of Massachusetts Electric Company, based out of Lynn, Malden and North Andover, Massachusetts. He made many lifelong friends throughout his career both as a Lineman and as the Safety Supervisor for the north east region. He retired in 1993 to enjoy traveling with his wife Pauline. Ron had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and Rving. When he wasn't traveling throughout the country, his time was spent between Totem Pole Park in Freedom, New Hampshire and Silver Lakes RV Resort in Naples, Florida. Of all the wonderful achievements Ron had throughout his life, the strength of his love for his family always shone through and he is deeply missed by his entire family.
Ron is survived by his loving, life partner of 25 years, Ann (Nichols) Auger, brother Glenn Cunningham and spouse Connie (Daniels) Cunningham; along with 3 children: Susan (Cunningham) Eldridge and spouse Lon Eldridge; Daniel Cunningham and spouse Dee (Beeks) Cunningham; Laurie (Cunningham) Najarian and spouse Larry Caruso. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren: James and Cristina Eldridge, Michael Eldridge, Robert Eldridge, Charles and Jennifer Cunningham, Christopher and Kristine Cunningham, Jenelle (Cunningham) and Paul Mullen, Cory and Jessica Cunningham, Jacob Najarian and Abigail Najarian. He also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren with another soon on her way. Ron left behind the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of his life partner, Ann Auger who kindly welcomed him into their family. He loved them all.
A private ceremony will be held for family at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, Massachusetts.
