Ron passed away at Cornerstone Hospice House in Lady Lake Florida. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and lived most of his young life in Orrick, MO. He was graduated from the University of Missouri and taught math and physics at Excelsior Springs High School for one year. After serving in the U.S Army, Ron was employed by Hallmark Cards, Inc., of Kansas City Missouri, working in the areas of Research and Marketing.
In 1972 Ron formed his own building and development company. He built and re-modeled homes and participated in light commercial construction and neighborhood development. He was active in the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City and served as its president. He was a member of the National Association of Home Builders Board of Directors and of the Carriage Club.
In 2009 Ron retired to The Villages, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla, and infant daughter, Diane. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Kitty, of the home, and his brother Ken of Blue Springs, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, Florida, 32162, or the charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
