Ronald Henry Ankeny, Sr. , 85 Oct 19, 1934 - May 7, 2020 Ronald Henry Ankeny, Sr., age 85, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.
Born October 19, 1934 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond Lauer and Flora Elizabeth Williams Ankeny.
He was a Christian. He was a graduate of Dundalk High School in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Ankeny had worked in sales with Global Gear & Motion in Baltimore. He enjoyed puzzles, cards, especially pinochle and tinkering around outdoors. He was President of the Ridgeview Homeowners Association.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Anna Mae Catherine Suder Ankeny, at home, his children, Martha Louise Falkenham, Ronald Henry Ankeny, Jr. and Mariann Ankeny Richardson, all of Baltimore and Matthew Reed Ankeny of Paw Paw, WV, one brother, David Ankeny of Baltimore, eight grandchildren, Alyse Franco of Long Island, NY, Sara Aiello, Andrew Ankeny, Luke Ankeny, Tyler Richardson and Alex Richardson, all of Baltimore, Jeremy Ankeny of Hanford, CA and Krysten Daneshzadeh of Alexandria, VA, two great grandchildren, Analise Aiello and Penelope Ankeny and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alan Ankeny.
Services and interment will be private.
