DR. ROMEO J. GARCIA age 91, beloved husband of Dr. Gloria Garcia (deceased); loving father of Susan, Dr. Ronald (Jenny), Gigi Ortiz (Dr. Eugene Ortiz), Rico (Ayeth), Rommel (deceased), Rowen (Michael Schuenemeyer), Romeo Jr. (Maria) and Reggie (Gina); dear grandfather of Patrick (Hanna), Andrew (Robin), Mikey, J.V., Jojo, Johnny, Christina, Theresa, Katrina, Paul, Jayjay, Chris (Beth), Isabel, Alex, Matthew, and Angelo (deceased); dear great grandfather of Aiden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Luisa, as well as his siblings Aurora, Pablo, Fe, Agaton and Lily. Born in Binan Laguna, Philippines, graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and completed his residency in Harrisburg, PA. and moved to Cleveland in 1984. He was head of the Medicine and Cardiology Departments and Professor at the Far Eastern University in Manila, Faculty Senior Instructor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Staff Physician at Metro Health Skilled Nursing Facility (Sunny Acres) in Warrensville Twp, and Brecksville Veterans Administration Hospital prior to retiring in Henderson, NV. He loved playing tennis, golf, bingo and travelling. Romeo passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Cathedral, East 9th St. and Superior Ave., Cleveland, Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment private. Friends may call in the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 Center Ridge Rd. (West of Columbia) Friday, June 10 from 4 – 7 pm.
