Roland J. Riel, Sr., 77, of Manchester, NH, died April 4, 2022.
Born in Manchester, NH on July 27, 1944, he was the son of Victor and Yvette (Turgeon) Riel. He resided in Manchester most of his life.
Roland attended Bishop Bradley High School and graduated from Manchester High School Central.
During the Vietnam War, Roland served with the United States Navy as a radioman in Beachmaster Unit 1.
Roland was a master electrician. Later, he was employed with Hadco Corporation, Derry.
Roland enjoyed golfing, bowling, deep sea fishing, camping, playing cards, and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Family members include his beloved wife of forty years, Frances (Denoncourt) Riel; two sons, Roland Riel, Jr. and Christopher Riel; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Doris Proulx and her husband, Arthur. He was predeceased by his twin brothers, Richard and Robert Riel; and a sister, Joanne O'Leary.
Services: Calling hours are Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 10 to 11:30 AM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.
A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM.
